Rosa Walton - Tell Me It's A Dream [audioCD]

Tell Me It's A Dream is the bright, brilliant, sky-reaching debut solo album from Rosa Walton, the 26-year-old musician best known as one half of Let's Eat Grandma. This album explores themes of ambition, seeing enhanced beauty in the world, and striving for ultimate freedom. Recorded in a joyful stay at Wales' residential StudiOwz, the record captures the audible fizz of friends having fun, serving as a testament to choosing life, pleasure, and the people that make it worthwhile.

Album Themes and Sound

Frequently euphoric and brightly emotional, the songs aim heavenwards, focusing on stretching outwards and acknowledging how far love can take you. Walton aimed to express feelings for loved ones through music in ways words alone cannot, capturing a lightness in the recording process that permeates many tracks. One standout, 'Heart To Heartbreak,' draws influence from emotionally-rich bands like The Cure and Prefab Sprout to translate the feeling of a breakup, visualizing a world starting to sparkle and look colourful again after feeling shattered.

A Clarion Call to Ambition

Born from purist and uncalculated intentions, Tell Me It's A Dream is an inspiring call to listen to your own dreams. Walton states that much of the attitude in the songs is about being ambitious in life and following those dreams.
