Description
Golden Earring’s expanded edition of their 1976 album Contraband is a remastered rock release for fans of the Dutch band. It includes four bonus tracks and a second CD featuring the band’s 1977 Pinkpop Festival concert.
Contraband marked a return to a more accessible, blues-influenced sound, with guitar work from George Kooymans and first-time album guitarist Eelco Gelling. Standout songs include “Bombay” and “Mad Love’s Comin’”.
The tracks were remastered in 24-bit/192 kHz from the original master tapes. A 28-page booklet features liner notes, memorabilia, photos and a story about the album’s creation.
