Description
Let Us Pray is the 1992 debut studio album by American extreme metal band Vital Remains. This CD presents their dark, brutal death metal with black metal influences, in a jewel case with a four-page booklet.
Formed in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1988, Vital Remains drew on influences including Celtic Frost, Venom, Bathory, Sodom and Mercyful Fate. The album sets the band apart with a dark, savage atmosphere, mid-tempo structures and melodic passages alongside its brutal sound.
Its lyrics explore satanic, occult and anti-Christian themes. Let Us Pray was the first of two albums Vital Remains released for Peaceville.
