Description
Parliament’s Mothership Connection is a landmark P-Funk album, led by George Clinton and featuring a stellar ensemble including Bootsy Collins and Bernie Worrell. This one-disc vinyl release brings together the album that helped introduce the Star Child character and inspired Parliament’s spaceship stage prop.
Blending deep funk with a playful, cosmic concept, the album became a top 20 and platinum success in the US. It is now regarded as a classic that has been enjoyed and sampled by generations of fans and musicians.
Standout songs include the opening blast of ‘P-Funk (Wants To Get Funked Up)’, ‘Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off That Sucker)’ and ‘Night Of The Thumpasorus Peoples’.
