Description
Museums And Women is a CD album by singer-songwriter Josh Rouse, featuring ten songs about love, longing and everyday human connection. It was recorded in Nashville in loose studio sessions with longtime production partner Brad Jones and drummer Fred Eltringham.
Hopeful and romantic, the album pairs casual poetry with wry humour as its characters move through life in search of connection. Rouse’s career spans nearly three decades, from his 1998 debut, Dressed Up Like Nebraska, to the Goya Award-winning Do You Really Want To Be In Love.
Among the songs are the jangly opener “Spring”, the bossa nova drift of “Sunday In The Country” and the rain-soaked “Parnell Street”. The title takes its name from a John Updike book Rouse has long loved.
