Description

Save As is the second solo album from Elena Tonra’s Ex:Re project, presented on vinyl. It is for listeners drawn to reflective songwriting about the details of human consciousness and the ways we try to escape overthinking.

Produced by Fabian Prynn, the album combines long-held ideas with first thoughts and improvisations. Its arrangements feature cello, synthesisers, bass and electric guitar alongside acoustic guitar, vocoder and drum machine.

Album opener “Radio Station” turns a stately acoustic guitar into a song about an endless California road trip. Standout “Am I Even Real?” is a duet between Tonra and Prynn that uses spaceships to explore whether Tonra is being true to herself in a relationship.
