The Tailor of Inverness by Matthew Zajac - Contemporary Fiction | Paperback

This compelling narrative, told from his son's perspective, recounts the extraordinary true story of a boy's journey from a farm in Galicia to becoming a tailor in Inverness. Spanning most of the 20th century, the book details his experiences as a prisoner of the Soviets in 1939, his subsequent release and service with the British Army in North Africa and Italy, and his resettlement in Glasgow in 1948.

The story raises intriguing questions about the tailor's true identity. This new edition includes an epilogue reflecting on later events and the author's ongoing connection to Ukraine, coinciding with a sold-out theatre run.
