Description
Beloved Irish band Kodaline bids farewell with their fifth and final studio album, 'We Were Only Young'. This poignant collection closes a significant chapter for the band, with the title track serving as a bittersweet reflection on cherished memories and shared experiences. Lead singer Steve Garrigan describes the album's inspiration as stemming from 'something real,' capturing the essence of being part of something special and mirroring the band's own journey.
An Artistic Farewell:
'We Were Only Young' is particularly notable as it was written entirely by Steve Garrigan, a first for Kodaline. This personal touch imbues the album with a unique intimacy, making it a fitting and compelling send-off from one of the generation's most engaging indie-pop acts. The album stands as a testament to their decade-long career and their impact on the indie music scene.
