Teenage Fanclub - Do Not Dare To Dream [CD]

Do Not Dare To Dream is the 13th album by Scottish rock band Teenage Fanclub, presented here on CD. It’s for listeners drawn to thoughtful, guitar-led songs that face a troubled world with resolve and optimism.

The album brings together the songwriting of Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley, with the band’s five members shaping the arrangements together in the studio. Its calmly resolute songs include Blake’s warm, organ-washed ballad “Day In The Sun” and McGinley’s “Over And Over”, both exploring how people can find renewed purpose by opening their hearts.

The title comes from Blake’s “I Do Not Dare To Dream”, an anthemic song built around ringing acoustic guitars and duelling electric guitars. The album takes stock of the fraught state of the world without succumbing to despair.
