Hawklords - Signals [CD]

Signals is the 13th studio album from British rock band Hawklords, on a single audio CD. It brings together space-rock influences with specially curated performances from the late Nik Turner.

Written by Hawklords co-founder Jerry Richards and long-time writing partner Fred Reeves, the album reflects on the band’s 18 years as a recording and touring act since its 2008 reboot, as well as more than 50 years of British space-rock music. Hawkwind and Hawklords co-founder Nik Turner features on WOTUGONADO, while Ganymede FM is a dystopian poem and Stranger in a Strange Land is an over-10-minute journey featuring flute from Bebe Aldridge and guitar from Richards.

Mixed by British producer Paul Sampson, Signals combines drums, loops, bass, guitar, flute and lead vocals from Kriss Gordelier. Jerry Richards calls it “music from the present, music from the past, music from the future and Music From The Moon”.
