John Barry - The Ipcress File [VINYL]

Experience the iconic and acclaimed re-recording of John Barry's legendary score for the classic spy thriller, THE IPCRESS FILE, presented on vinyl. This release features the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Adam Klemens, with reconstruction and orchestration by Leigh Phillips, and mixing and mastering by Chris Malone.

THE IPCRESS FILE, directed by Sidney J. Furie in 1965, is a seminal work in British cinema and marked Michael Caine's first leading role. John Barry composed a remarkable score that perfectly captured the film's unique atmosphere, distinguishing the mundane world of British intelligence from the fantastical realm of James Bond. The score is celebrated for its iconic main theme, infused with jazz influences and highlighted by a distinctive cimbalom solo, a choice inspired by the film's Cold War setting.

This vinyl edition focuses on Barry's original compositions, offering a faithful rendition of the music crafted for the film.
