Description

Introducing... is Aaron Frazer’s debut solo album on vinyl, produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. It blends mid-1960s soul with disco, gospel and doo-wop, alongside songs with a message.

Frazer, a Brooklyn-based, Baltimore-raised songwriter, first came to international attention as a multi-instrumentalist and co-lead singer of Durand Jones & The Indications. On this album, he explores a sound that draws on earlier musical styles without seeking to recreate them exactly.

Standout songs include the soulful ‘Over You’, the message-led ‘Bad News’ and the uplifting ‘Have Mercy’. The album brings together themes of love and social consciousness with a hopeful outlook.
