Miami Blues [4K UHD + Blu-ray]

George Armitage directs this singular crime comedy, adapted from Charles Willeford’s noir novel. Alec Baldwin stars as Frederick J. Frenger, Jr., a recently released convict who arrives in Miami and immediately begins a life of crime. He forms a peculiar pseudo-domestic relationship with Susie (Jennifer Jason Leigh), attempting to balance his mounting criminal activities with a semblance of a normal life. Hot on his trail is the persistent detective Hoke Moseley (Fred Ward). The film masterfully blends humor and violence, showcasing Baldwin's brilliant performance as the unhinged criminal and Armitage's skillful direction, influenced by producer Jonathan Demme.
