X-Men: Beginnings Trilogy - Action/Sci-Fi [DVD]

Three feature-length action adventure prequels based on the Marvel comic strip. 'X-Men: First Class' (2011) is a prequel to the first three 'X-Men' movies, charting the saga's origins as Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) navigate their formative years in the 1960s. Once close allies, their diverging ideologies spark the enduring conflict between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men. 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' (2014) bridges multiple films, sending Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back in time to prevent a dystopian future. He must unite the younger X-Men—Charles Xavier, Magneto, and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence)—to avert global annihilation. Finally, 'X-Men: Apocalypse' (2016) explores the franchise's roots with the awakening of En Sabah Nur (Oscar Isaac), the first and most powerful mutant, who seeks to reshape humanity. As Apocalypse recruits Magneto to his cause, Professor X, Raven, and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) must rally to stop him and save the world.
