Gideon's Day [Blu-ray]

From director John Ford comes Gideon’s Day, a tense police procedural set in London, adapted from the first novel in the best-selling series by crime writer John Creasey (aka J J Marric). Starring Jack Hawkins as Detective Inspector George Gideon, the film chronicles a day filled with crooked colleagues, escaped lunatics, bloody payroll heists, and aristocratic bank robbers—all while Gideon tries to make it to his daughter’s violin recital. Known in the US as Gideon of Scotland Yard, this edition features the work of cinematographer Freddie Young, who shot the film on location in London.
