Tesla - Homage [audioCD]

Celebrating over 40 years since their start as a California cover band, Tesla delivers HOMAGE, an album that serves as a powerful thank-you note written in sound. This collection pays tribute to the great singers and songs that shaped the band's musical identity, tracing the line from influence to their own established sound. It offers fans a chance to hear the musical dynamics learned over many years and showcases the incredible vocal diversity of lead singer Jeff Keith, something often overlooked in their long career.

Album Significance and Influences

Inspired by musical heroes like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Jimi Hendrix, who honed their craft by learning cover songs, Tesla continues this tradition with HOMAGE. The selection of songs acknowledges some of the greatest singers of all time, including Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke, David Ruffin, Etta James, and James Brown, alongside other tracks the band grew up hearing on the radio. This project is about acknowledgment, not imitation, and includes a new original Tesla song, 'Never Alone,' sparked by the process.
