Fruit Bats - The Landfill [Vinyl]

Dive into The Landfill, the latest full-band effort from Fruit Bats, the moniker of Eric D. Johnson. This album marks a shift in Johnson's typically patient, slow-growing songwriting process, channeling the immediacy explored during the recording of his previous work, Baby Man. Experience the result of bringing that raw energy into a collaborative studio setting with his long-time touring band.

Eric D. Johnson, known for crafting songs that span long stretches of time and memory over his 25-year career, embraced a new approach for this record. Inspired by the unvarnished, stream-of-consciousness recording style of Baby Man, Johnson sought to translate that immediacy into a full-band Fruit Bats experience. This album captures that exploration, featuring the core band members who have helped establish Fruit Bats as an in-demand live act in indie rock.

The recording sessions for The Landfill brought Johnson back into the studio with his established lineup: David Dawda (bass), Josh Mease (guitars, synth), Frank LoCrasto (piano, synth), and Kosta Galanopoulos (drums).

• Features Eric D. Johnson's songwriting channeled through a full-band dynamic.
• Represents a continuation of the immediacy explored on the preceding album, Baby Man.
• Fruit Bats has built a reputation as one of the most in-demand live acts in indie rock over more than a decade.
